Chez Schneider, that is us: Elisabeth and Claus Schneider. Initially from Austria’s east (Burgenland) and west (Vorarlberg), we have lived in many places and towns before we found our home here in the Carmelite Quarter, in the Leopoldsgasse. We love our neighbourhood, the Grätzl (“What is a “Grätzl?“) around the Carmelite Market , the mazzes-island” (“What is the “Mazzes-Island?“) between the Danube Canal and the Augarten.
We have designed our apartments, Leopold and Josefine , in a former art gallery and have furnished them with all amenities which are important to us and which delight and inspire us on our travels. High quality, modern and practicable, but also with personality and clearly tied to Vienna through many little references.
Urban fresh chic, without the dreariness of guest rooms, but very personal. Plus a lot of added value, service, recommendations by locals and the autonomy of your own apartment. That’s staying “Chez Schneider”.
